After a good looking Erika by Wave , Kotobukiya deciced to made one too . Sadly this one is kinda hard to get as it’s a Kotobukiya shop exclusive … Koto seems to like doing things like this lately …

What made me buy that figure is easy , it’s just the base … it’s nice and Erika seems to like it , looks comfy ^^ . Anyway , the figure itself is correct , the painting is nicely done but the face is a little off compared to the artwork and the cg’s from the game . The hair are done really nicely and the details on the school uniform are quite nice . But that’s all .

So yes it’s far from Koto best works . So is it worth the price and time looking for her ? i would say no if you’re not a fan of the character . But if you like Erika , it’s definitly the best figure of her out there so it’s maybe a definite buy …

Here’s another “old” figure , the Goth Loli Asuka made by Kotobukiya in 2005 . She’s not awesome but a correct job done for a 2005 fig . The pose is cute and the base is kinda original . Not the best Asuka out there but still nice

Today i got this nice girl in the mailbox , bought her for 14 euros from Playasia . I didn’t really want her at the start but cute looking girl in swimsuit + a nice base at that price = sure get .

She’s really easy to take pics of and Good Smile did a great work on her , the painting is perfect and the pose is really nice . I have to say that this figure is perfect in any way possible so if you like her , it’s a great choice .

Same as Kyou , she was released in august 2005 then re-released in october 2007 for Clannad TV . And same as Kyou , we don’t get the real Nagisa feel … Nagisa is shy but no , we get an energic Nagisa ! Kyou would have been in that pose i believe …

Anyway , that’s just my opinion . Everything is the same as Kyou , a good figure for 2005 . But in 2008 , Kotobukiya really did great work so it can’t compare … Still , Nagisa is cute and in that way , the figure is fine

Kyou was at first only available as a resin kit in March 2005 and then released as a PVC model six months later , in september . That’s when i got her . She was re-released in september 2007 , for the passage of the Clannad to the animated version .

Sadly she wasn’t redone for the second release so we got a classical Kotobukiya feel , as nothing awesome , pure classic sculpt and basic painting . Still , for a 2005 figure , she’s quite good . But it’s the same than for Air and Kanon , i think we didn’t get any figure as good as the shows … Kyou is normally very energic and funny but no , we get her in a sitting pose , looking tired … i’m sorry , this is not the Kyou we know and love …

The next Key game to go to the anime treatement seems like to get better figures this time around . I guess we’ll have to wait and see . Anyway , as for this photoshot , i tried new settings on the DSLR and a new background . I love a lot the results so prepare to see it a lot ^^ .

Now THAT is a news that makes me happy . I think it’s strange that they want to do Klein before the other characters , but Alpha/Omega making figs of Macross Frontier is still an awesome news to me .

Klan is not my fav character and we didn’t see her that much for now (but i do think she’s going to be really important in the show at some point) but this proto pic is more than promising ! She looks awesome , can’t wait to see the colors !

But the greatest thing about this is that i can’t see Alpha/Omega just doing Klan and then stop . They surely are going to make the other Macross F characters . So YES , my dream is maybe going to be true , a Ranka Lee by Alpha/Omega , YAY ! (yes that was the real point in that news ^^)

If someone can read the japanese and tell me if there is a release date for the Klan , i’ll be happy to know (pics from GA Graphics)

I had a hard time with that one , impossible to use my normal backgroud because she is SO big ! And not easy to take pics of … Here are the best i did , not at good as usual but still ok . Here’s my latest entry in my “Girls and Flowers” photoshots ^^ . As for the fig , she’s MASSIVE , really big and i think she’s totally awesome ! Here’s the second girl from Snow . She was out in september 2004 for a price tag of 3500 yens … Figures were cheap in 2004 … now we have to pay the double to get the same things …

Anyway , this one has no paint problem and is really nicely made , i love her face and her hair , she looks so sweet ! It’s sad that the visual novel was not adapted as an anime … Maybe someday but i doubt it …

I’m back ! I had to get my DSLR repaired , two big spots of dust were on the sensor and it was really looking awful on the pics … Hopefully now it’s better . I want to thank you all for the ideas and opinions about the shop name , it helps me a lot . Thank you everyone , love you

So , back to the photoshot then

And today is a treasure , one of the first figure Kotobukiya made . Number 13 exactly . This cute girl from the visual novel “Snow” was made in june 2004 and i totally love her . There are 4 figs in that collection and i’m trying to get them all . Why do i love them ? Because there is a “Kanon” felling about them , it’s the design and it’s the snow . And the rabbit in this one helps a lot ^^ (Nayuki snow bunnies anyone ?) .

As for the Figure , i’m kinda impressed by the work , for a 2004 figure , it’s nicely sculpted and painted . Sure there is some paint dots in the hair but it’s still fine . I love her a lot

“Miku is proud to present you today star , Sumomo !”

Nothing special to say , for me she’s the ultimate nendoroid , the cutest of all . The only problem is that she’s only available with the limited edition of the DS game “Nanatsuiro Drops” , so if you really want her , you know what to do . Sometime you can find her on Yahoo Auction too , a friend found her without the game on it .
