“Let me wash your hair” “Timotei timotei timoteiiii ~”

Here’s the Figma Konata sold at the WF 2008 . It’s my first Figma and i got it because i wanted a Lucky Star figure (there’s still no PVC yet …) and i wanted to know why everyone was speaking about those Figmas .

Before taking the pics and typing this post , i really wanted to say bad things about Figmas , as i don’t understand why the buzz everywhere for them , but after playing a little with her to take the pics , i finally know : they are indeed fun to play with , choosing poses and making scenes with them .

But personally , it’s not really my thing :( . And i do think they’re not as great as people say … The painting and the overall quality not as good as the normal PVC figures and even from the Nendos . But the price is quite cheap and it’s action figures so it’s different .

I hope i won’t get insulted after saying my opinion , as i think i must be the only one not into Figmas ^^ . I hope you’ll forgive me with the pics i took :( . The poor mini Saber was quite tired after that photoshot , i wonder why ?

  1. Heh, I know how you feel, I’m not much into figma’s myself actually. I don’t even find them fun to play with while you seemed to have fun.

Possibly a lack of imagination has plenty to do with my non-enjoyment since without imagination, no fun poses can be had :p I can see how others would enjoy them though, but they’re just not for me I guess.

  2. As a figma supporter, I have to say that I only like them because it’s fun to have something to pose sometimes. However I greatly prefer the normal stationary figures.

  3. The Saber fanboys look let you get away with this =\.

Anyway, I don’t mind figmas. However, I don’t feel the need to play with my figurines, either. Both are fine, overall.

  5. I’m glad everyone understand my opinion ^^

The only thing i like about Figmas is that’s it’s easy to take pics of them and you can take funny pics too . but that’s about it .

Nothing can beat a beautiful sculpt and awesome painting of a great PVC (L)

  6. Hey that’s cool. I like honesty and I know figma is not everyones thing because of their joints and the overall quality. Even though I don’t play with mind one all the time, I like seeing a different pose from time to time rather than a fixed one. Don’t get me wrong, I still love the normal PVC but I’m just making my point where I love them as much as I love figmas. ^^

  7. i’m primarily interested in figmas for their pose potential. i have a pretty poor setup for my shots so i amuse myself with group shots and shared accessories. still though, i think the reason i still haven’t gotten any is the same reason you’re not crazy about ‘em… joints are ugly, paint work, sculpting isn’t anything to write home about…

I don’t think there’s anything wrong not liking figmas – at least to me, they’re for an entirely different purpose. It’s almost like buying a painting vs. buying paint and a paintbrush – one’s art, one’s for making art.

regardless, i still have saber on consideration… her armor hides the joints pretty well. omake: saw this pic on mikatan’s blog recently, cracked me up:
